Montana Taxidermy

Looking for some input. Want to be prepared if myself or my wife get something we would like mounted. I seem to recall most people suggesting to talk with a taxidermist before hand. And, I really don't want to drop something unique like this off to someone I don't know or have not checked on there reputation (or been referred to by folks I generally trust).

So, anyone have any recommendations for MT state taxidermist? Likely a shoulder mount of a mule deer or elk.

Emmick bros in billings is who gets the nod for me. Amazing the time and detail they put into there work. I drop in every time im in town to bs and drink beer with those guys.

If your going to be in western MT check out Mercer Custom Taxidermy in Libby. Good guy who does great work especially on mule deer.

I have used Montana Wildlife Taxidermy in Columbia falls in the past. They did a excellent job.
