Headed up this week for a combo tag to central Montana. This will be my first hunt up there bc I live and do most of my hunting in Co. I was curious if anyone has seen much rut activity from the muleys. I’m keeping my fingers crossed I’ll punch one of my tags. Thanks for any help.

Been in MT since the opener. IN the breaks for a week, now SE. Have seen no sign of the rut so far.

Yea. Been following the weather pretty closely. I was hoping this cold snap this week we jump start things

I was in E MT last week and saw some rut activity starting to get going. It wasn't everywhere but certain areas had younger bucks chasing around groups of does.

Was just about to post this same question. Will be in Eastern MT Sunday to start my week long hunt. Seems like I should hit it about perfect. Gonna be cold! Will be following closely…..

Boys are starting to get stupid but still have not seen a big buck. This 3 point was aĺl swollen this morning and just stood 30 yards from me with his does. Hopefully some bigger bucks will pop out soon.

Small bucks are starting to act tough on the west side but the big ones are still smart. Weather across the state should help!
