What power was that on - that reticle gets better and better every time I see it.
5x. It is extremely functional.

That’s exceptional. I’ve been holding out selling a 4-16 atacr but I might just do so to pick up a minox5x. It is extremely functional.
Big difference between a purposefully pull through and jerking the trigger. When you have a light crisp trigger the gun fires when you want it to.Not worried at all about the limb? Not judging, just asking. Also, that didn’t seem like a surprise trigger pull. Again, not judging. I’ve found many times that in real life situations you have to actually pull the trigger to make the rifle fire when you want it too rather than being surprised by a smooth steady pull. Real hunting vs ideal circumstances and all.

Yes I knew the limb was there.
How did you determine that?

Just from watching the video. If you say it was a text book trigger pull, I’m not the guy to argue with you. That’s why I said it seemed that way, not that it was.

I understand. I was not insinuating nor advocating bad technique. I’ve just noticed in real hunting scenarios, I’m not always “suprised” when my gun fires. It doesn’t mean the pull wasn’t smooth and the gun remained on target.

You should never be "surprised" when your gun fires.

What is a “text book trigger pull”?
Smooth consistent pressure directly reward that does not move the system from its intended point of aim.

The word surprised infers/insinuates a lack of intent.
The "surprise" trigger pull is meant to convey that you aren't "waiting, waiting, waiting, and NOW!", jerking/punching the trigger. You aren't caught totally off guard by your gun firing, obviously. The word surprised infers/insinuates a lack of intent.
Ok- what makes you say that trigger press wasn’t smooth and consistent pressure to the rear?
It’s like I’m talking to my college professor again. I dig it.
The speed at which you accomplished it. But I suppose that if you can apply that pressure quickly enough without changing the smoothness or direction of its application, the lines on the graph representing sear breakage and shooter anticipation would intersect at a point. That’s impressive if it’s the case. Sincerely, not sarcastically.
super impressed that anyone can shoot whilst standing on top of a hiking stick
