Montana BMA buck. I was hunting the same location all the way back to pronghorn rifle opener. Got to learn a herd of 30-40 mule deer’s patterns. Feed lot, migration routes, bedding zones, all of it. I made a couple of pushes at a really big bodied 5x5 but he won the day each time. I had also seen this forky guy quite a lot and yesterday was one my last opportunities to get out solo. I stalked him over the course of about a mile, making 4-5 good pushes at him while he was trailing some doe’s in estrus. He saw me each time and would saunter off, I was finally able to cut him on a hilltop at about 100 and made a shot count. Piled up after about 70 yards.
