Montana griz/elk questions

Out of sight in a locked vehicle is obviously the best. I wouldn't keep it in a tent as that won't contain the odor. We hang our food 100-150 yards away in a spot we can see from a distance, if possible. Experimenting with an electric fence for our next trip. Picked up fence and charger and would bring a spare car battery and hook that up to a solar unit made specifically for this. Bought plastic electric poles from the farm store. Obviously this is for around our base camp area and not something I plan on carrying into the back country. Food will still be in the truck/trailer. Plans came from reading several threads on here.

I know we need to eat away from are camp was thinking 100/150 yards would be good? Also should we leave are food that’s not cooked at the same area and hang in a tree away from are camp sight?. Was thinking having it in are tent would t be a good idea even if it’s not opened
I've never eaten away from camp.
Unprepared food should be packaged to contain any odors.
Only prepare what you'll eat.
Burn leftovers completely
