Didn't get my picks for units this year but I did get my General Deer Combo, so plenty of opportunity. Anyone get a unit that they have been waiting for?

My buddy and I put in for pay for general deer combo and didn't get one. He said in 7 years hunting in Montana he has never seen a non-resident not get a deer permit. I can't believe my luck for actually getting ready to go.

I did not get deer combo either. 3 years ago I bought the deer combo in August

I am a non resident with no preference points (first year applying) and I did not receive the general deer combo.

I am a non resident that bought the point and was successful. Sounds like buying it was the right thing this year.

3 of us drew with no preference points. got lucky I guess.

They said 74 percent of applicants got the permit. Almost all had a preference point. Well Colorado for elk if most likely.

He just missed it last year because it was over applied for in 2017 also.

A buddy and I got NR deer combos without a PP. I was worried as I had been hearing about the over subscription of the NR Deer combos after we applied.
