Montana 2020 Velvet Repeat

Last year I was lucky enough to shoot a very nice, perfect velvet whitetail on the Montana archery opener, 9/7/19. One year to the day later (although not the opener) and about a mile away I was lucky enough to shoot a beautiful, public land velvet muley. This was also my first animal shot using a hinge release.

Hey nice deer. I hunt in eastern Montana with a rifle mostly. I'm headed that way to try the rut this year. The opener was yesterday, which is usually 60°, and now they've got like 5 in of snow and it's like 20°, we may have actually hit it right this year.

Nice deer congrats! You are on a roll. I started practicing with hinge this year, but haven't had the balls to try it in the field. Glad it worked well for you.
