Was curious if anyone else puts reminders or motivational stuff as a background. I've been doing it for years and it's usually something that I'm working toward so I'm always reminded why I'm working. Anyone else???

Here's mine. It's been my goal that last couple of years.

Mine is a pic of a round going out the tube of a 777 howitzer. Reminds me why I can't hear crap anymore.

When I'm near my computer I'll post up a pic. Heck, the pic from Iraq of the M198 shooting into Fallujah is my unit. That's the one everyone knows pretty much. It's like Good Morning Vietnam. I don't care what you play, just play it loud ok! Lol

I just use some of my fav hunting pics from previous trips.

Mine cycles through my entire hunting folder on my computer. There is pictures on there from 50 years ago in my family and the outdoors. It reminds me where I came from and makes me think about hat I am doing sitting in front of a stupid computer....

I could have been the next "trapper jake"

I have the sticky notes program up with a few quotes.

"If you can see it here, and you have the courage enough to speak it, it will happen"

“In life, you go big or you go home. I just like to take challenges. This is a hell of a mountain to try to climb, and I didn’t get to the summit today, but it doesn’t mean I’m gonna give up. It doesn’t mean I’m gonna stop.....I know there’s a lot of doubters, but, listen, life’s about falling down and getting up. It doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down, it’s about getting back up.....Sometimes the outcome isn’t always what you desire it to be, but the true failure in life is not trying at all."

Ha, I wish I could take credit for the second one, but that was a combat camera cameraman that snapped that one lol. That's just my unit, I still laugh at my buddy Camp in the pic standing there with his hands on his hips. There's a Youtube video from that deployment as well.

ha, he really does look like a government worker, supervising as everyone else works! : )

Considering that at the time he was pretty much low man on the totem pole it makes it even better

That's hilarious! Guess you'd caption that photo as "watching the big boys work!" I always wanted to get my hands on some of that kind of equipment. I was on a helicopter carrier and our biggest gun was the 25mm. Most fun I ever had as a gunner's mate was when we decommissioned my ship, somehow we were allowed to go to sea and shoot everything in the armory rather than offload up the coast. Warped several barrels on the 50cals and generally acted like a bunch of kids for the day.

Also spent 6 months deployed with the Marine's 17th MEU and got to qual on all of their toys, including the Barrett 50...FUN!
