Thank God I have a money tree in my backyard. Getting ready for my Sept. Colorado elk hunt and not chasing them since 1998, I found I was way behind the times on all the gear needed to bring me into the 21st century. Kuiu pack frame, 3200 bag, L/XL suspension***$500, assorted elk calls, decoy and such***$150. Sleeping pad and Hammock gear top quilt****$350. Hydration bladder and other pack essentials***$75. Assorted elk hunting apps, OnX app and paper maps***125. New Sevr broadheads***$85. Bow sling, stabilizer, new string and cables***$200. Have an old backpack tent that works(smells yukky), and good hunting clothes and boots. If you guys can think of anything else I need before I head out feel free to chime in.

A new gun and bow as anything a year old is outdated and less capable in is efficiencies of killing something🥳👍good luck and enjoy your hunt

That's true. Was in the archery shop yesterday and looking at new bows and their price tags. Back in the old days I could have bought a Weatherby or Kleinguenther gorgeous rifle for less money than the bows. WOW!!!

Yes indeed crazy what bows cost versus rifles when we know bows will last a decade and rifles will last generations👍But no latest and greatest no success can be achieved without the proper marketing pattern or machine😁🍺😁

Drats, bought most of my "Forget the Wind Just Hunt" clothes last year, haven't worn them out yet.

You need a Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins, whatever the most expensive one on the lot is, then finance it for 30 years.
One of my elk hunting buddies just took delivery of a 2019 Ford F-350 dually that was just shy of six figures. His money tree is much bigger than mine. I do get to ride in it in 2 weeks at elk camp though.

You’ll need two of the biggest Yetis they make to bring your meat home in. Go ahead and fill ‘em up with ice on the way since they’ll keep till you get home.

Perfect. I will then be able to hire a moving company that hires WWE wrestlers to move them from camp to home.

As a whitetail hunter from Arkansas, it is daunting getting started. Hopefully I can use what I have and slowly piece things together. Except a good pack and boots. Don’t have those for whitetail and will definitely need them.

Don't forget the burbon!.....help sooth the sore muscles....but possibly make other parts sore if you over do it.👍
