I enjoyed a Gohunt podcast the other day on Wyoming. Informative kind of. They spend a lot of time bullshitting.

I am not personally interested in peoples back stories so there is a lot of that BS.

I am overseas until 2026 or 2027 Fall. Most likely 2027 I will apply in Wyoming. I had forgot about that super low fawn recruitment from 3-4 years ago. I guess I will be cashing points in 2029 or 2030.

I am at 10-12, I can't remember and it doesn't really matter. Maybe one of my kids will want to go in 2027 and we will just burn points for both of us to go.

I do like those new draw odds for the high roller tag. What a difference another $1000 makes. Hopefully the same thing happens for NR in Utah.

In the past 30 years I have lived overseas for something like 16 of it.

I have 8-13 points in Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, 4-7 points in Montana, Nevada, Colorado, and a few other states I won't name. as I don't tell people about their programs.

I was home from 2019-2023 and used quite a few tags up, and I'll go home next year for good and start doing the same.

Here in Europe I have 8 guided hunts in 2025, one completed and 7 more to do this year.

Gotta keep hunting, hard to hunt in America with he logistical issues it takes for me right now. When I came back to Europe to hunt it.

Hey, looks like the point creep was only cushioned the first year of the expensive Special Tag. Guys are telling me it crept right back up this year. When demand exceeds supply, I'm not sure there's a reasonably high enough price to keep it from creeping.

Looks like a Region G in special only took 6 points this year vs <11 for reg draw. That is substantial!

OK, thanks for looking, the guys I’m talking to had enough points to draw this year based on last year‘s stats so that’s what I was based on the point creep on. It was less than six last year. But yeah, that’s a big spread between special and regular, and imagine you and I just screwed special up worse by posting it lol
