Man, I love all these "help me out and I'll report back when I get done with my hunt" threads. Dude hasn't been back since last September. I bet he can't even run a mile under ten minutes!

bsnedeker, unfortunately with the recent changes MT has adopted I sadly agree with you. The G&F is sticking the nonresident DIYers in the 2 hole in a terrible way. Total joke.

Back on topic, I hunted 700 about 7 years ago. We saw elk most days and I finally shot a cow on the 2nd to last day. The hunt was frustrating for me- it never felt like we were in elk country. It's like badlands of ND (a little more rugged, but not much) with more elk in it that in ND. It felt to me like I was hunting elk in muley country. I wouldn't go back, but my buddy wants a chance at redemption there.
