Minox ZP5 5-25x56 MR4

Hey guys,
Please don't take this the wrong way, just trying to key you guys in on how we work here
If you call in or email to place an order and speak with anyone who IS NOT Jake Tumolo, I have very little power over that order
That includes sending emails for backorders that are in stock, changing shipping, changing items, pricing, etc.. This has been a repeated issue with these Minox's as a couple of you guys called in to order and delt with my coworkers - I'll always do my best to help you guys out but we do have some pretty strict ROE's and I am tied up with what I can and can't do to another salesmans orders.

Hope everyone enjoys the Minox's!

Took delivery on mine today. Was a little surprised to open and see a red box rather than a white box. In my research I’d seen a lot of talk about the white box being the more recent upgraded version with better feeling, aligning, and more reliable turrets than the initial “black box” versions that seemed to be more issue prone. What’s the scoop with the “red box” run? I see a qc card signed/dated 2022.

Got mine mounted. Turrets feel great, wish all scopes clicked this nicely, especially like how stiff the windage knob is. Just have a few minutes of dryfire with my dfat attached, so far I'm a fan. I'll probably be able to shoot it tomorrow or Sunday

@EuroOptic might need to reply re the red box as such, but a QC card dated 2022 places you well past the black box issues, I think.

PS When you have more impressions, feel free to post them to the ZP5 Q&A thread: https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/q-a-for-minox-zp5-5-25x56mm-thlr-scope.253284/

I cannot speak to the red / black / white box, this is the first I’m hearing about it
I can say that this was some kind of buy out ordeal we worked out with Blaser USA, who imports Minox for us. Unsure if it’s the last run that will be imported or not. Perhaps this was older inventory that was sitting somewhere, I’ll do my best to find out
I’ll send Blaser an email and see if they can shed some light.
Same deal as always though, if you are unhappy with the product for any reason let me know & I’ll get you a return authorization and a label to send it back for a full refund

Hi Jake, when you do, can you ask if there's any chance of them providing you with more ZP5 THLRs? There might still be a few guys here who would like one ... or three.
I’ll surely ask
All this love for the THLR’s.. did you guys not know we could get them??? We haven’t ordered them or anything else from Minox in years because nobody ever asked about them or called.

Thanks Jake. It’s cold here in mn so the scope was frosty when I got it inside. Initial turret turning with the cold scope was kind of a buzz kill to be honest. After it warmed up and I got them through a few revs up/down they feel a lot better.

I brought up a couple different models we still have in stock yesterday to play with, I found the turrets to be very nice. I should’ve snagged one of the THLR’s for myself before I posted them lol

Yep. I've repped them here / mentioned you guys as a source for the last few years.

I think @wind gypsy has it - $3200 is a big step for most hunters, and that pricing had them marketed more to comp guys and up against S&B, NF, and ZCOs. $1700 is more in the realm of a quality hunting scope, and you're more likely to see people take a 'punt' to see if they're any good. There's also been a few years of posting and evaluating them here since.

I suspect if you had them at $1700, in stock, you'd sell them fairly consistently throughout the year. Not V or L numbers, but enough from people as the word spreads.

Clean, crisp, and audible clicks is something the ZP5 is known for ... I think there's a good (short) video of this on YouTube if you're interested in tracking it down.

I called in 23 and 24 asking about them. I said I would buy ten if it helped. Your Peeps said they couldn't get them.

Initial impression on my scope, after it warmed up and had some turns - it lags my 10 year old kahles 624 in clean, crisp, and audible and it’s not that close. They seem fine but not a strong point.

Welp. Wasn’t me, probably know who it was though.
Lame.
Guess this is gonna be another one of my personal wars.
So far on the RokSlide 2026 wishlist we have
6cm Tikka’s, 16” stainless 223’s, stripped Tikka actions, stripped Sako actions, THLR’s..

Hey I appreciate you guys! I have an excuse to hang out on a form all day and talk to guys that actually hunt and shoot.
Speaking of fancy german gun stuff.. do you guys hate thermal or something? I have tried to show these Liemke Luchs clip ons off like 3 times with no traction.. check em out.. best deal in thermal right now and they are rock solid.
