Temporarily off the radar!
Wanna get some minnesotans together for a 3d shoot, or lets hear it for that matter. Just hard to make friends as you get older and i need to get out more!!!

I live in mpls and i fish, hunt, bow, muzzle, rifle, bear, deer, elk, waterfowl, upland etc... You name it im in. Have a hunt planned in CO in sept so need some training too.

Interested people post to thread and hopefully we can get a good group amd come up with an outing to get a MN group started. Hope to hear from of u soon!

I am in the Wilmar area and train on the trails at Sibley State Park 2-3 times a week. You can come along if you are in the area.

Resurrecting your thread as I had a similar idea. Wondering if there is interest in meeting at Buck Hill or similar for some weighted pack walks to the top?

Chilakoot archery club in Sommerset has a 3D shoot this coming Sun 8/16/15, I'll be there around 8:30am if anyone want join me.
30 target and if you've never been there it's nice and hilly. Could go hit the steps in Stillwater after...

Sorry, I missed this thread before. I'd be game for some stuff too but I'm down in Rochester. We go to Farmington quite a bit though to visit the inlaws. It'd be nice to get some buddies to hit 3D shoots with, I've been wanting to get into them for awhile but none of my friends are "dedicated" enough.

I've never considered myself "dedicated", it's just what I do.
I can't get many people to go anymore either so I just go on my own. I call it my "golf game", and real practice.
Never take it serious tho, that takes the fun out of it.

I don't mean taking it really serious when I say dedicated. Most of my friends that bowhunt are the guys that dust off the bow and start shooting a week before season opens. They have no interest in practicing until it's time to hunt.

Im here in the metro too. Blaine in fact and yes, I do get out to shoot when I can. I have only shot one 3D shoot for fun and I had exactly that. No rangefinders allowed but most had binos and I wish I had as sometimes the arrow went right where I wanted it to go but the rings on the target were not where I thought they would be. Even if its a get together for a few beverages somewhere I would be interested. I am not in the carry a pack up buck hill shape yet! I do work downtown in the TCF tower if anyone wants to get together for coffee or something.

Well, we are spread all over the metro aren't we? I live in Rosemount but work on the Plymouth/Golden Valley border of 169 & 55. I shoot when and where I can, generally the range in Rosemount or I stop in Bloomington on the way home at the range off of France.

Forgot to mention, I typically shoot at either the Coon Rapids Dam range, the one on Lexington in Shoreview/Arden Hills or the walk around course in Bunker Hills Park.

It's all good, I know exactly what you mean. And that's also why I go alone much of the time, most I know do the same, then they complain about the missed shots come season time.

Hey guys for what it's worth, as far as spread out. I'm up near North Branch. Sommerset aint that far. Rangefinders and bino's are allowed and I shoot where I would in the field. (I don't always agree with Rhinehardt either).

Chilakoot shoot is this Sunday, anyone going? I'm headed over and wondering how forgiving the 3d course is? Not sure if I have enough arrows if I end up donating some to the forest.

I'm from hudson as well. I run afton state park everyday if anyone is interested in joining. I too would be interested in a 3D shoot. I mainly shoot in my backyard but 3D would definitely be fun!
