Anyone ever use a mini bike to get around and cover some more ground from the truck for archery elk hunting? Also get back further more quickly where there are trails that allow this to save time and energy?

people have been using motorbikes for decades for this.
Yeah well im from Maryland and have only been hunting out west for 5 years or so and only rifle hunting. Only get out there once a year so Im learning new stuff everyday and have been studying maps and see there are some trails open to dirtbikes in areas that I think I'd like to hunt and something like this sure would shave some hiking, time & energy off getting to some areas where the stops way before. Just looking at some options that may help my success efforts.

Get a real dirt bike. My Honda 90 sucked unless it's pancake flat and a mini bike with a briggs n stratton will be worse.
Really? I would think with the wider tires and lower center of gravity they would work well. Wouldn't think you woul need much real power to get around on some trails. I dont have any experience doing any of that just my speculation. It's flat here in MD and I've always had 4 wheelers.

I have a Honda Ruckus 50cc that I take once in a while if I know it will save me some time. Its got ok clearance, wide small tires and is about as easy and reliable as can be.

I also look freakin sweet ridin that hog

There was a guy with a minibike where we were hunting last year, his buddy had a Rokon though for packing meat out. You aren't going to haul much with either a mini or Ebike but either will get you there as long as you don't have a lot of clay mud or deep water to get through (which seems to be the norm for us).

Please leave the lawn mower motor at home.
I image youll be dragging that thing more than riding it with all the deadfall and terrain.

whatever version of 2 wheels you use, people have been using them succesfully for decades and people have been saying you can't for decades. use what you think will work, and learn from it for next time.

I vote a Yamaha tw200 or ebike! Church bike comes in handy near home. Helps justify that cost

I would consider a electric Trials bike like a OSET. Yamaha TY-E, if they ever will sell to the public... there are a few other European made electric Trials and dirt bikes these days. No gas, minimal noise, ultimate stealth
