Most all of my hunting has been early archery/muzzle loader seasons..and until this year the muzzy seasons have been unseasonably warmer.
This year hunting in either my prana's or EB guide pants with merino base layers I was great while moving...a little cooler while sitting/glassing.
This season I will be doing a late archery hunt and will be on some cooler weather rifle hunts helping buddies out.
I was looking for a pair of pants to round out my options in the gear closet.
Will most likely be around 4-5k ft elevation, possible snow conditions for rifle, likely snow line hunting for archery.
A few things I was looking at were the cabelas wooltimate wool or berber fleece pants, or the browning hells canyon prima loft half bib that are on sierra trading post; so looking in the under 130-150 range.
Should I just go with a much warmer base layer? or do I even needs new pants?
