Thanks everyone for your advice. I went all in and purchased the sitka incinerator jacket and bibs. I got them last night and I must say they are very nice and fit well. Very quite for being goretex material and I can tell I am going to be plenty warm even though they are not bulky.

I would definitely write anything Redhead off your list. I don't think they've ever made anything worth using.

This is my list for 9 days in Kazakhstan this October for two seperate hunts. Might be overkill but rather carry more and not use it , then need it and not have it.

Base layer top - Kuiu 145 merino ( taking another 145 and a 125 if needed )

Base layer bottom - Kuiu 145 merino zip of bottoms ( taking Kuiu peloton 130 if needed )

Mid layer top - kuiu peleton 240 hoodie ( will have a 280 stronglfeece hoodie also )

Mid layer bottom - Kuiu peloton 200

Mid layer insulation - Kenai Jacket

Hunting pants - Kuiu attack for pretty much everything but will take Kuiu Guide with me in case i need a heavier set

Outer Layer - Guide jacket

Will also have Kuiu Chugach rain jacket and pants also.

First Lite outer layers are junk mostly as they just don’t hold up well. I’d only buy their merino anymore and maybe not even that as the quality there has dropped since the days i bought my Chama and Llano 1/4 zips.

Go with Predator Camo. Smaller company with great customer service. They have a weight jacket for all seasons and their camo really helps you vanish late season. WAY cheaper than FL as well and you’re not supporting Rinella.

The old Cabela’s brand clothing was excellent quality at a reasonable price, but their newer red-head line is low end Chinese junk
Yep. I'm still wearing stuff from before the buyout.

You may want to go on ebay and buy some of the old dry plus / suede stuff. That old, old cabelas and LL bean stuff maybe heavier than today's new stuff, but a lot less expensive.

I have the Sanctuary and love it. I do late season in NW Illinois and with changing up layering have worn it from 0 degrees up to mid 30s. I high recommend the bibs and jacket combo.
