If you vote, state why you voted with technical reasons. I added some popular, non-micro adjust rest because they will be brought up anyway.

spott hogg whammy. don't know if that fits in this category of drop away but it does do just that. I use it because its simply the best rest ive ever used. set it up once and the timing has been perfect for 5 years since, so no need to micro adjust would be my tech reason but theres certainly a lot of adjustment you can do on the rest. really gives you the best of both worlds. arrow is rock solid on the rest from the time you knock it and rest is completely dropped and out of the way by the time it leaves the string.

I use a Ripcord Code Red. I like to cock the rest in the up position to shoot. Easy to set up, and I have never had any problems with it not working, even in very cold temperatures. I am sure there are better rests out there but this one has never let me down so I figure why change.

I voted smackdown pro. It is a very solid rest that performs flawlessly. The limb driven feature eliminates one more tining problem and makes it easy to adjust rest and not have to mess with the cord. I also like the code red but on some binary cam bows they can cause fits pulling on the cable more than the non attached cable and causing cams to be out of sync.

AAE Pro Drop. At the time I got this rest I thought it was one of the best micro-adjustable on the market.
I really like the ease of adjustment on this rest.

I'm not sure if Hamskea had one out then or not.

I really don't see the need for a micro adjustable rest. How often are you making adjustment to your rest? Once you set up initial center shot you may only make a couple more small adjustments for tuning and that's it. You shouldn't have to touch it again. And if you are tuning a bow using yokes you don't really ever have to adjust the rest after initial set up. I think you are paying for something that is not needed.

I voted Hamskea. It is on the way but I don't have it yet. FYI the Hamskea isn't micro-adjustable. My technical reasons for choosing this rest. It is limb driven. I don't want tension on either one of my cables. There is no tuning or setup needed with a limb driven rest. Put it on at center shot, level with the riser, tie the cord and the set up process is done. There is no chance that the arm will not get out of the way fast enough, there is no timing needed, there is no serving into the cables needed. If it breaks or needs replaced in the backcountry, or at home, it is literally a 10 minute process to be shooting again.

Those are the technical reasons I choose a limb driven rest. Specific to the Hamskea, it is said to be built like a Panzer tank and over engineered. I have had two failures with Limb Driver rests, one in the back country two years ago and one two weeks ago at my house. My brother has had a failure with them as well. I no longer trust them for backcountry hunting.

I shoot the original smackdown, I would highly recommend the smack downs, AAE pro drops, or ripcords. I have set up a fair number of all of these rests and see few problems. The QAD's are decent also but I saw more failures with the locking system come into the shop. Also if you creep at all the QAD's can lock or fall. I am a big fan of limb driven rests.

I voted for the Hamskea VersaRest because I believe it the absolute most durable rest that has unmatched accuracy (just won the 2013 IBO World Championship in the Men's Open Pro division thanks to Tim Gillingham this past weekend) of all the rests and it doesn't have any plastic parts. Simple to set up and the most tunable rest bar none and it is configurable as a limb actuated, fall away or fixed blade rest...all in one. Does it cost more? Yes. Is it worth it? Well that is up to the individual to determine. I don't want to have any hunt spoiled by a product failure. Why chance it? It's worth it to me.
