I’m tossing around the idea of a trip to Mexico for a Muy Grande… I’ve heard recent years there has been a bad drought and not as many big bucks. Anybody go this year and have success!? Or anyone going this winter?

Don't see how drought would affect them if they feed them in pens then let em go when u get there... seems to be the way mexico goes lately.
Yup. Unfortunately, Mexico has gone the Texas route in regards to turning wildlife into livestock. I follow some of the outfitters on IG and they are posting pics of 2-3 bucks in the ~200' range every day. Pretty pathetic IMO. To each his own, but I will never understand what makes a person want to go on a hunt like that, other than ego.

I am quite sad that Mexico is going that route because I’ve always wanted a big wild Mexico buck. I will say though, I do think that what some of these high fence operations are doing is crazy cool! Having grown up a beef rancher that focuses on nutrition and genetics to get the best out of our stock it’s crazy to see what perfect nutrition and genes can do to a buck.

I don’t mind guys going and killing them, but call it what it is, don’t pretend you went on a tough hunt.
