WTS Mexican Mauser Action

I picked two 1893/95 Mexican Mausers(small ring)

I only want one so listing the other here. action only $250 + ship to FFL

CRF w/approx 3" coal 308/Creed bolt
it functions 100%, bolt has down turned handle. bolt and extractor have been mostly polished smooth.
rough on the outside but lug abutments are perfect.

The Mexican Mauser is sort of a different animal. It is an intermediate length action Not as long as the 98, but longer than the Sweedish Mauser. I have a few custom Mausers on this action. They are great for intermediate length cases. I have a custom that I built into a 257AI that fits perfectly in this action. It won’t fit into a stock machined for the full length h 98 actions, but are good actions if you work through those issues. I would think you could do a 6CM or 6.5CM without issue as long as the mag length isn’t too restrictive. I wouldn’t do any of the short mags in one. GLWS. In the right hands it can be turned into a very respectable rifle. All the best.
