Merino Wool Briefs

Looking for recommendations on a pair of Merino briefs. I like something long. I have trie Ibex but they wee short and seemed to ride up. I have read that the Browning held Canyon and pretty good.

I like the red deserts however they haven't held up for me. The Sitka merino boxer briefs are very nice, they are long and held up excellent.

The FL red deserts reach down almost to the tops of my knees (I'm 6' tall), so they'll be plenty long for you. They're long enough that I don't wear them wtih shorts.

I like the 50/50 merino blend Core4Element boxers. Black Ovis sells them as the Black Ovis brand now. I found them to be plenty long and they don't ride up, bunch, or stretch out. They also don't hold odor despite being a blended merino material. Lastly, I really like the price and found them to be the best bang for the buck. The only warning I would give is that if you have big thighs, they might be too tight since they don't stretch that much, but for a skinny guy like me, they're perfect for my needs.

I have a bunch of these as well. I will agree with most of it- but- and maybe its just me but the odor control is not near that of my higher %merino blends. When I take them off after a day- they are pretty ripe

I used two pairs for ten days last year and I thought they did well. I've got some 100% merino Icebreaker boxers as well, but they stretch out after one day and they ride up like crazy. After a day of wear, the odor is not any different than the Core4Element boxers I have. Face it, no set of boxers is going to have absolutely no stink after a hard day on the mountain, but merino certainly does a better job than the synthetic boxers I wore previously.

I bought a couple pair of the Dobson's to give them a try. If I don't like them guess ll try the Red Deserts.

They're not the longest boxer briefs, but I really prefer the smartwool brand over everything else that I've tried. They stay where they're supposed to and have held up well for me. I've also used icebreaker, but they tend to ride up in the rear - not fun.

I try to buy a pair or two of smartwools whenever I come across them on sale, and I think they made an improvement with their new waistband, but haven't gotten a pair to try it out yet.

Under Armor. Not merino, but they stay put and they don't seem to smell to me.

I have a pair of icebreaker merino that I picked up at Cabela's on sale. They are comfy, but after a few days of wearing them they lose that compression around the legs.

Ive only used the Kuiu ones but they have been fine for me. ill also throw in the reccomendation for Underarmour synthetic boxer briefs, these are pretty much all I wear on a day to day basis and I wont be rushing out to buy any more wool briefs.

My sitka wool stay in place and are holding up well. I just can't wear them till November when it cools off. Synthetic champion brand otherwise.

I love the feel of the FL red desert and dobson, but neither of them lasts very long.

Sitka are fairly long and hold up much better. Smartwool are a bit shorter, but also hold up quite well.

+1 on the icebreaker ones being no good. I have the shorter kind and after a few hours in the field it feels like I'm wearing a thong.

If you like a long brief the Dobson will fit the bill nicely got a pair last year they've held up well

Firstlite Red Desert work great . Long in length , breath good , don't smell . Lightweight also .
