I just picked up a couple pairs of the KUIU in L. Depending on the gloves and purpose, I bounce between L and XL. The L here is perfect and should work really well for archery applications. I have a pair of Guide gloves in XL (fit big) so they should stack easily if needed. I would have had no qualms about the First Lites either. Love their merino boxers and should get more of their gear. Just can't have everything. Running out of room for gear, again. Got to quit buying and just go hunting.

I bought a pair of the First Lite just to try out. I decided on the Mediums even though I always wear a L/XL in the glove depending on the brand. I think the First lite sizing is a little on the big side compared to others. I like how they don't have a big cuff that goes way up your arm. They will end about at the start of where a watch would be worn coming from the hand up the wrist to the arm. They are just long enough to extend beyond my release about 1/4". I would say the Mediums fit like a Sitka Large (just comparing because Sitka is available all over).

I have been wearing the First Lite gloves since this past spring and they have been perfect both in fit and durability. Not too warm, but enough to keep your hands from getting cold on a chilly morning/evening. I also like the little grip deals they put on the palm/finger portion, they allow you to use your touch screen phone with them on, that alone was enough of a selling point for me :) LOL

I didn't know they were usable with a touch screen. I've been looking for some hunting gloves that I can use my iPhone with. Might have to buy these!

We offer 170 weight merino gloves in max-1,Xtra,ASAT, and Dry Earth. I think they work great and still keep you warm when wet. I might be slightly biased.

I've been looking, but haven't found a First Lite glove size chart. I've been reading on this forum that the gloves run a little big. My hand is ~4" (palm) x ~8" for length. Merino gloves: L or XL...?

I have first lite gloves. They are true to size. I wear a large normally and the first lite larges fit perfect.

Reference the sitka size chart and I wouldn't go any bigger than the glove size there according to your measurements and if you like a form fitting lightweight glove size down.

I ended up getting size large. It fits with a slight stretch of the material. This should work well as a liner for colder weather gloves, or as a lightweight option in warmer weather.

Thanks hflier and doverpack12 for the responses…

Just thought I would comment back on sizing some more. I ordered a pair of KUIU 230 gram merino gloves and the size Large fits like the Sitka Large and First Lite Medium.

I'd like a pair of merino for the extra warmth, but I've worn the snot out of my Sitka Shooter gloves over the last 2 years. It makes no sense that they are warm when wet, but they work pretty darn well and are easy to shoot with (pistol, rifle, and bow). I took a 3 day Combat Handgun course in them and they rocked. Having a pair of merinos as a back up for cooler days is a good idea though.. I'll be looking next time I hit the store.....

doverpack12, thanks for the feedback on fit. This is definitely one of the challenges with internet-only or hard to find gear since you are kind of guessing as to sizing.

I have been using a cheap pair of fingerless ragg wool ones. They are great for dexterity and I have had them soaked in freezing rain and my hands have still been warm.

Same here ! Im loving my 5.99 fingerless wool gloves ...well 70% wool 30% poly.
