Merino blend t shirt?

Anyone have a favorite merino blend or synthetic t shirt to take to the backcountry? Bonus points if reasonable price

Montana knife company has an awesome merino short sleeve and long sleeve shirts that are very comfortable and they use nuyarn, which makes it durable. Excellent price $55 but only 3 colors. I don’t know of any cheaper merino short sleeve shirts for cheaper than $55 MSRP that are any good.

Blends are terrible. Worst of both materials. They're still expensive, they're not as soft as a poly can be. They also don't dry like a 100% poly shirt will.
Stink like poly does after a day.

Get 100% merino if you need wool. Get 100% poly if you want synthetic.

I couldn't disagree more.. I love my merino blends. I've been wearing merino now for like 16 years and consistently my favorites are blends, heck I'm wearing a merino blend tee now actually.. Specifically poly/merino blends are my favorite.

For me, a full poly just doesn't get the moisture off my skin and move it effectively. My skin feels sweaty and I don't care for the comfort factor. I do think in theory for survivalist situations it's probably best. I'm going for comfort while hunting.

A 50/50 merino blend feels mostly like a softer merino but dries faster and helps get it off my skin. I've had zero issues with stink. A Sitka 120 SS is incredibly soft as it's a higher poly content but I don't think they make them anymore. That's the best I've tried.

The Kuiu stuff isn't great, I don't buy the nuyarn method wrapping the merino around nylon. That fell apart faster than any merino I've used. Sitka is doing it right with the 120 where the poly is wrapped around the merino giving it structure and holding it together. Anything with much spandex in it isn't great.

I'd probably try this next.

I guess the only reason I suggested blend was because I know 100% wool might not be as durable.

Thanks for the rec, I didn’t even know MKC made tees. I have a gov x as well, makes the purchase hurt a lot less. I might give these a try

I had heard great things about the Sitka 120, shame they discontinued it
