The Meopta Optika6 at $900 really has been the sleeper scope I hoped it would be. Until it got hot outside. I live up in the mountains at 7,300 feet and I finally took my 6 GT with the Optika6 out to distance this summer. Low light and edge to edge clarity really is there, but mirage is the Optika6 killer! My take…Meopta is better than the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 in every way, except handling mirage at high magnification. So unless you only plan to take your rig to the range a week before a hunt to confirm zero, I’d go with the Viper!
