Meopta Optika LR 8x50mm vs swarovski EL range 8x42

Wanting to jump into the rangefinding binocular game and think I’ve narrowed it down to these two. For those that have looked through both which do you prefer? I’ve always had 10x but thought I’d try 8x this time around and see if I like them better. Am I making a mistake by dropping down to the 8x?

These have a whole lot more than 150 field day on them now. Still going strong and I’m not exactly kind to them. I also linked a review from @Matt Cashell in my thread there.

My focus was more on durability in the thread. Matt touches more on glass and function details.

I would throw the swaro 8x32 into the mix. Unless you feel like you need 42mm…premium 8x32 gives up little to nothing IMO to an 8x42. Nice compact package that I am pleased with optically and I am fairly picky on optics.
