Meopta optika 5

I have ones on a Rem 700 and T/C Icon, and no issues. I have heard of guys having to go up to slightly taller rings when using the Optika6 scopes.

I'm strongly considering the Optika 5 2-10 and am wondering how you guys like the tractor tire like power adjustment ring. I picked up a cheap Marlin XS7 which has a 90deg bolt lift. Does the scope interfere with the bolt handle for any of you?
I'm using an optika5 2-10 on a bergara ridge using talley mounts. Medium height I believe. It clears the scope and it is about as close as I can go. The removable throw lever would get in the way of the bolt but the adjustment ring is already very good. The included bikini cover interferes with the bolt slightly if I leave it on while racking the bolt.

I went out with the scope last night at the end of shooting light. I couldn't see the Z-Plus reticle at all on any darker background. I'm returning it for the duplex and will check to see if the scope tracks enough to dial for elevation.

I think the z-plex will work much better for you. I was able to make out the crosshair really well in very dark conditions. I have successfully dialed mine out to 800yds repeatedly without issue. The turrets are surprisingly good for a capped turret scope and have very nice clicks.

That's great to hear! I just need to get it out to 500. The build and glass quality for the price are fantastic.

If I'm happy with how mine dials I'll probably get a custom cap from Kenton Industries.

I had no idea they made custom turrets for the meopta lineup. I may consider that down the line. For now I just taped a drop chart onto my rifle.

Owned this scope for a while and was running it on my Weihrauch HW50 springer air rifle.

1) it seemed built strong and held zero great on my springer
2) fantastic glass quality and FOV, 9.5/10; viewing experience was so good I found myself using it like binos
3) Meopta, like so many others, kill great optics by poor reticle options and no MIL option, IMO

Is the Optika 5 made in the Czech Republic or China?
Was the Optika5 made in the Czech Republic or China?

The Optika5 and Optika6 was discontinued last year and replaced by the Meo R5, Meo R6, and Meo Hunter.

As for your question, that depends on what article you read. I have read anywhere from:
1. Made in China and inspected in the Czech Republic
to
2. Parts made in China, assembled and inspected in the Czech Republic

I have also received a range of AI answers depending on what browser was used to ask the question.
