Meopta new binoc?

I called Meopta today and talked to the dude Erik and he said the coating is an anti fogging/moisture coating no optical difference than the current B1 HD’s. He said they changed internal tolerances and rubber coating to make them more durable which seems hard to believe. Got the plus 12x50’s on the way

I was thinking of giving call since i can see a smudge on the internal glass. Not sure how it affects the overall performance

Sorry...looks like the the plus and b1s have the same transmission...

Correct. The "1.1" added the locking diopter. The "Plus" added the Meolux coating and new body. The "Air" is an imported model like the Pro. All have the same glass. Sounds like the B2 may actually be an upgrade of optical glass. Many changes in a short amount of time.

Perhaps they are going to an armour like the Cabela's version which to me feels sturdier than the Meopta rubber.

The last information I received on the MeoPro Air bino is sometime in Jan. 2021. I just started using the MeoStar B1 Plus 8x42 bino and will have them in the field with me later this week. Very nice, the new style fits nicer in my grip. Watching ducks land on my pond the other day at first light, very good in low light which we all know is of big importance.

I do not find any performance differences, Gentlemen. I do find the ergonomics to be better in that it is easier to hold for long periods of time. I have been using these 8x42's and my old MeoStar 10x42 B1.1's side by side and the low light visibility is better than the 10's just as you would expect. There are supposed to be some Limited Edition's in different colors coming out as well.

I can't find an update any where on new meopta binos....did I miss it or still a waiting game? I am very interested in the Meopro Air

Back in December I was told (by Katerina at Meopta) they expect start shipping the Airs in February or March. I was also told last Summer that they would be ready late September, 2020. I know the whole "pandemic" really disrupted supply and production chains around the world, so I will just wait patiently. I'm sure they are doing everything they can to get them to customers by Spring (bird watchers, hunters, etc getting outdoors)...but things happen!

I have no idea about what's up with the B2 line, but am really curious about what they'll be like and how they'll stack up to the current alphas (especially the Swaro NL).

Am I correct in understanding that the Meopro Air will basically have the current B1 plus glass?
That's what they've said to me and others. However, the specs (FOV, eye relief, etc) differ greatly from everything in the B1 line, so I take it to mean it's got the same materials/coatings/quality/characteristics.
