I'm confused on these two models. I thought that the MeoStars were considered a step above the MeoPros, however, the MeoStar 8x56 doesn't have HD glass, whereas the MeoPro does. Furthermore, these two models are both on sale at EuroOptic for $770 for the MeoStars and $900 for the MeoPros.

So which one is better? Is the MeoStar still better even without the HD glass?

I would go Meostar over MeoPro any day, regardless of the HD. I compared Meostars and MeoPro in the 8x42 configuration and there was no comparison in the glass. The Meopro are probably lighter since the Meostars are built like a brick.
After I posted this, I did a bit more research and learned that for some reason they didn't use the HD glass in any of their 8x Meostar models, and that the Meostar B1 Plus line has been, or is being discontinued, which i guess is the reason for the markdown price on EuroOptic. I still see it for around $1500 on a few other retailer sites.

I went ahead and bought the Meostars from EuroOptic, seemed like a good deal for a quality pair of binos. I plan to use them just around the house, for bird watching and general use, not for carrying around hunting. I'm hoping that they will serve that role well.
