Just got mine in the mail today from a pre-order.
No locking diopter.
Build quality is very nice though.

Was thinking the same thing. How could they put the diopter adjustment on the center wheel, but not make it lock? That's very odd. That is very strange, and would be a deal breaker for me. My eyes are very different from one another, hence why I default to center locking diopters. Even locking diopters on one side don’t work for me because every one I’ve tried I’ve managed to unlock inadvertently when using a harness.
Any other opinions/reviews on these?
For those who have viewed through these, is there any noticeable difference in their apparent brightness in comparison to other binos?
MeoPro Air is listed at only 83% daylight transmission, which is considerably lower than say a Zeiss SF of 92%. The MeoStar is reported at 88% and I always thought it appeared “dimmer” than my SLC which is listed at 91%. Coupled with the fact that Meopta always catered towards a very warm image tone vs the more saturated neutral image from my SLC, I felt that even the 3% difference was very evident.
I know people can pay too much attention to this value, and it isn’t everything, but I feel like such large value differences of 83% compared to 91-92% would be pretty apparent.
Or is this a moot point and their image is as bright and comparable to others in real field use?
If the eyecups unscrew like the Meostar's, you can always put a gasket/o-ring underneath and screw them back on. That's what I do to the 8x32 Euro HD's.
