I recently returned from a Coues deer hunt with my newly acquired Cabelas Euro 15x56 and was thoroughly impressed except for the fogging that occurred when I put my face up to the glass in the mornings. I have never had this issue with my swaros nor did my friend with his Vortex Razors.

1.) Has anyone experienced this?

2.) Is there a new version of the bino being released (cabelas had their euro line on sale which is why I picked them up)?

Are you talking about fogging on the outside? That's not unusual for any bino depending on the environmental conditions. I've had that happen with Swaros.

My 10x42 Euros fogged up on both me and my hunting partner on a September elk hunt. I spoke with the guys at the optics counter at Cabelas and they said it is common with binoculars in cold temps, I told them that I disagree have not experienced this with my 8x42 conquests, or 12x50 razors. They proceeded with some lame excuse that it could be the shape of my face..... I guess both me and my buddy have weird shaped faces.

It's all affected by the ambient temperature, dew points, and the temperature of your face and the binos. Just simple condensation because of heat meeting a colder object. Just like a glass of ice water on a hot day.....condensation city. Also depends on how tightly you hold them to your eyes. Some bino's may have better air circulation or venting around the eyecups.

My eye doctor always gets mad at me because his equipment always fogs up on me, and then I can't see the charts.

if you keep them in a warm cover then bring them to your face you may be causing the issue. I have a friend who has a similar issue with a rifle scope, he normally needs to bring it outside for a couple minutes before we leave for a hunt as otherwise it fogs pretty bad on the outside.

However this is an older non-nitro purged scope, but with a lot of sentimental value.

Yes, on the exterior eye piece. I literally had the swaros with me and swapped them on the tripod and no issues.

The first morning it happened I thought it was due to the swaros being in the bino pouch on my chest (warm) and the Meoptas in the backpack......next day both binos in backpack and same result. Maybe it's in the design and how my face matches up but my thought is something either with a specific coating or lack of....or perhaps something with the density or thickness of the eye piece that allows fogging to a greater degree than other optics.

My issues were exterior fogging as well. I realize that there are a lot of variables, that being said my razors did not fogg in the same environment.......could be as simple as eyepiece design

In cold weather, my Leicas, my Vortex Talons, my old Razors, my current Zen Ray ZRS all will fog on the outside lenses. Usually it is because of my breath, but occasionally it is due to excessive sweat on me from my hike etc. sounds entirely normal. You may need to play with the eye piece a little and see if any certain way they are set up is worse or better.
