Anybody have any experience with both lines that can give me a pro and con to both? I'm looking at the meopro 6.5x20x50 HTR model to top my 300 win for shots to 600 yards. I also was looking at the meostar 3x12x56.

Anybody?

I had the 4.5-14x50 HTR and it has the absolute worst turrets I've ever used in my life. Also, don't believe their literature about how much elevation adjustment they have. I think they state that there is 68 MOA adjustment, but it only has about 45. They even pulled a few more off their line and verified this to be true. By the time I got it set up and zero'd, the usable adjustment didn't go very far. I sent the scope back and got a refund. For just a bit more I picked up a Leupold Mark 4 with M1 turrets and so far it's been great.

How's the eye relief with that leupold? I love how the meopta has consistent eye relief through the magnification range.

5mile do you think if I went with the meostar with the 30mm tube it would have more adjustment ?

It might, but for the price (even with MD) I think there are better options. The Leupold eye relief is fine, but it does change between highest and lowest settings. Not enough to be a problem, but you definitely have to adjust to fit your eye.

I have a meopro and I love. My favorite glass that I own.
I own a
Vortex viper
Meopta meopro
Trijicon accupoint
Leupold vx2
Nikon buckmaster

Now you've got me leaning at a z5. How much moa did you end up having? I'd probably only shoot out to 750 yards max range for hunting.

I don't think you'll get to 750 yards with a z5. I have a z3 on my 300wsm and only get to 600 yards with a turret from outdoorsman with a 200 yard zero at 9000'

But...I love my two Swarovski scopes and would highly recommend them...

I dont want to go the nightforce route. No point in buying a light mountain rifle and throwing a 3 lb scope on it. Maybe have to live with 600

Yup I agree, zero at 200 and I can dial to 650 with my Z3 but the Z5 has around 15+ more MOA adj over the Z3 so I bet 800 is possible.

Ahhh, thanks for correcting me. I did not realize that the Z3 and Z5 have different MOA adjustments....good catch and appreciate you correcting me.

Also, if you didn't know, the Swaro Z5 is I think $250 off, but the sale ends TODAY! Its part of the 25th anniversary sale....so if you even think you might buy one, today would be the day to pull the trigger for sure!

My Mark 4 has 110 MOA elevation adjustment from end to end. I can't remember for sure, but it's pretty well in the middle of that range without any MOA rails. But there is no zero stop, and the scope weighs 22oz, about 10oz less than my NF.

March makes a good lr scope at 22 oz
