Been pondering one of these for a while, to put on a .264 Win Mag. Kinda thinkin get one with the target turrets, with the objective being able to shoot out to around 7-800 yards..
Any hunting done with it would probably be within 300 yards, for the most part. My thoughts are I should be able to have a decent hunting rig, with the ability to fool around at the range, start learning to shoot at distance...
Wondering if anybody has any experience with the McWhorter reticle, positive or negative??
Complete newbie to long range thing, tryna get my feet wet, open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

I have the Meopta S2 spotter and their 15x56 Meostar binos.......both are great. But I have to be honest......I had the Meopro 4.5-14x50 scope with target turrets and those turrets were absolute junk. First off, they advertise 68 MOA of elevation adjustment. Mine had 45 MOA and by the time I had it sighted in and set up, I only had about 12 MOA of usable adjustment. They even checked a few off their production line and they were the same.......so, not 68 MOA adjustment. Secondly, after I got a zero and took the cap off to reset it to "zero", when I tightened the screw down after putting it back on, tightening that screw completely changed the elevation adjustments and locked them in one direction. Absolutely the worst turrets I've ever seen.

I sent the scope back, got a refund, and then bought a Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14x50 scope. Much easier to use and setup, and over 100 MOA of adjustment. I also have a Nightforce NXS that's awesome, but I wanted a lighter weight scope for this rifle.

Appreciate the info, doesn't quite give me the warm and fuzzies over the target turrets on the Meopta..
Still curious about the 4.5-14 Meopta. In theory either the McWhorter or a Rapid Z be a good way to get my feet wet, get a little distance.. Swaro BRH also an option..
Haven't quite figured out if I want to go Christmas tree reticle, or more mil/moa...
As a political refugee from the metric system, I tend to be drawn more towards MOA versus mils when looking at those types.
Looking at the Vortex scopes, got to looking at the Razor HD LH 3-15x42, like the looks of the HSR-4 reticle..
Think at this point, like the idea of starting with hold overs, with the ability to turn turrets secondary..
Anybody try the HSR-4 reticle?
Again, complete newbie at stretching the range out, open to suggestions!
