Question for those who use dry tumblers with walnut or similar media types.

After you tumble your brass, do you take any provisions to ensure the inside of the case neck is completely free of any media dust?

I’ve usually run a simple brush through the neck a couple times, but it never seems to get a perfect clean and I’m starting to notice some media powder on the expander ball inside the resizing die. Can’t imagine this is good to have scraping the necks every time I resize.

Wondering if this is an issue to begin with, and if so, if any of you might have a remedy

Honestly, I'd view the residue as a benefit. Having a completely clean surface can cause the case neck and bullet to weld together somewhat, causing inconsistencies in the force required to unseat the bullet, leading to increased SD and ES or potential pressure issues.
