First doe shot with them, 23 yards, went 26 yards.
To say I’m impressed is a understatement.

slightly quartered to but 30ft above him so a pretty steep angle down. Through nearside shoulder blade and got 6 or 7 inches of penetration. Destroyed nearside lung, ripped mediastinum slightly, didn't get into offside lung. Backed out for 6 hours found him 85yds from impact in his first bed, but I know he looped a little, so probably 100-110yds travel total. Another two inches of penetration and he would have likely been dead in a minute or two but that's on me for taking a steep downhill + slight quartering shot.

Grim reaper 1 3/8’s” pro series would be my forever broadhead if I had to pick one for the rest of my life. I’ve killed deer, elk, and bear with them. They’ll be on my arrows moose hunting next fall.

I’ve killed over 100 critters with bow and arrow with all types and brands of heads. I just keep coming back to reapers. In the last few years I’ve killed over 30 critters with them. They flat out work. The slogan “watch them drop” has rung true in the majority of my reaper kills (about 60).

I killed a bull in September with the mini mag (4 blade 1.25”). Hunting partner killed a bull with the 1 3/8 pro series. Complete pass throughs, short and substantial blood trails.

The bow I hunt out west with is 29” draw, 82#, pushing a 520 grain arrow around 290.

The bow I hunt whitetails with is a 70#er pushing a 480 grain arrow around 285.

Is there enough difference that you've seen between the 1 3/8, mini mag, or carni four to worry about? Also looking at the fatal steel 1.5 too

The carnifour is a little more broadhead than I feel comfortable putting through big game. Would probably be fine, but I’d rather air on the side of caution.

The fatal steels are awesome. Killed a dozen or so deer with them. They’re just more expensive to no realized benefit in my experience. 3 fatal steels are the same price a 4 pro series.

I’ve only killed one with the mini mag so I don’t have a strong opinion on them yet.
