Not a ton to say, but Brody and Randall had a pretty good, albeit concise, talk with an Outdoor Life writer Tyler Freel who they referred to as a "small caliber evangelist". They discussed shooting big animals with smaller calibers up to and including Freel shooting an Alaska moose with a 22 ARC loaded with 88gr ELDMs. At this point I have no doubts Randall is amongst us here on the 'Slide.
Anyway, don't want this to become another hunting-media-opinion cesspool, but I appreciated hearing such a large platform discussing the capability of smaller cartridges. It was short and sweet and no one said "you should definitely be doing this" but everyone agreed that 6.5 Creed and even smaller cartridges are plenty capable and dismissed the idea of "putting more energy into the animal" or increasing margin for error by shooting big magnums.
