Maven Vs Zeiss

I’m looking to get a spotter and am between the Maven SA1 spotter and the Zeiss Gavia 85. Has anyone looked through both of them? What are your thoughts? Do you prefer one over the other? Thank you!

Not even a comparison. Go with the Zeiss.

From what I’ve heard the Gavia spotters don’t entirely live up to the Zeiss premium name, and the older Diascope spotters were superior. I haven’t looked though a Gavia and have a 65mm Diascope which I’ve been pleased with but don’t have much to compare it to.

I have a S1a that I use interchangeably with a Kowa 884. The only thing it lacks is a little fov, a little magnification, and interchangeable eye pieces. It does not lack in image quality one bit.

The B.1 and Conquest HD are very different binoculars in terms of weight and feel. I would make sure you try them both before ultimately choosing one. Goodluck
