Maven S1A Spotting Scope

Does anyone have any experience with the Maven S1A - 25X50X80 spotting scope?
I am in the market for a new spotter and even though I am a Swaro fanboy, the price of their Alpha glass is just a little bit to much for me and am considering this Maven spotter.

The maven is pretty decent but id highly suggest considering a meopta s2. I'd put it head to head with a swaro any day of the week

Just purchased one and it should be here Friday. From the quality that my binos have, I think this should be a great spotter. If I remember I will update.

Why did you get rid of the S.1a? My main gripe against the S.1a is the 50x max magnification @ 64 ounces.

I have a Vortex Razor 27-60x85 which is the same weight but with 10x more magnification. However, its good but not impressive.

I like my Maven S2 a lot because its super sharp, very bright, good color reproduction and easily portable.

Reviewers say the Maven @ 50x is as good as the Razor @ 60x. If the S.1a is similarly sharp and bright, I'm tempted to make the switch.

What are your thoughts?
