Maven Optics VS Vortex Razor

Looking to invest in a new spotter. I only do one trip a year where I would use a spotter so I don't want to go all in. Looking at something in the Vortex Razor or Maven price range. Size can vary so I'm not really set on any certain model. Which one of these companies offer more bang for the buck.

I just picked up the razor 16-48 x65 angled used for $500. Haven’t put it on a tripod yet but seems to be pretty nice just glancing through it at 800-900 yards down the street. Granted it was middle of the day but for $500, I think it would be hard pressed to beat. Had only been used for 10 days last year.

For full price the Mavens blow the Vortex Razors out of the water. There is a reason you never see the Maven spotters on here for $500 - $700 used. You do see the razors on here for that price though. With all that said I do own a 65mm Vortex Razor spotter. At this point I can’t reach the price range of the Maven spotters.

I have the vortex 16-48 x 65mm angled I got for $560 new I haven't compare it to the Maven or anything else really except some super cheap ones. Here's a pic of some elk I got just holding the phone up to it at ~1.2 miles.

The spotter comparison isn’t exactly a fair fight. Maven S1 spotters are significantly more expensive than Vortex Razor HD spotters, and that’s noticeable in the image you see.
