Maven C4 in 15x and 18x

Well I created an account just to post this. I got my 18x56 in the mail today. This weekend I will be comparing them to my 12x50 Razor HD and my buddies 18x56 Razor UHD.

First impression is that it came decently packaged with bare necessities. The build quality was on par with my Razors and the nonslip coating has a good feel to it.

In a brief side by side to my Razor HD I can already tell you the edge to edge clarity is better and the images look clearer in normal lighting.

Following up finally! So I got to go out into the field with all 3 binos this weekend. The edge to edge clarity was very evident between my Razor HD 12x50s and the Maven c4 18x56. The Maven was a clear winner. When compared to the Razor UHD 18x it was not as clear. I noticed a color difference between the 2 binos but the clarity was too close to call. I think it really comes down to preference. I did not notice anything between the two binos that justified the price difference other than the Razors come with a nice case and I believe the prism used allows for a slightly better low light for the Razors. Overall, if asked I would start anyone to the Maven c4 for a budget buy and tell them to opt for the B5 if budget isn't an issue over the Razor UHD first.

I really like my 8x32 (maybe 8x30s?) and my 18X mavens. Really like them.
