Did they change the eyecup design on these from the 15s? The blocky euecups on their 15s are terrible

Very excited for these.

How would you go about deciding between a 15x56 or an 18x56?

Definitely interested to see if they fixed the eyecup issues. We spoke with them last year at the Redding Trail Shoot and they said a redesign was coming, that the eyecups on the 15 X 16's were something that they had received a lot of feedback on.

I physically could not use the old 15s. I could not get them narrow enough. These binoculars fixed that issue.

Ryan,

How's the eye relief on these? I checked out a pair of the 15's at DSC, and it seemed a little tight for folks with glasses, at least to me.

Currently running 10x's and a spotter, wondering if one of those should get bumped from the bag for a set of 15's or better. Can't carry it all, I'd kill myself! But thought maybe let my son use the 10x's, I'll use my Leica RF for first looks, and carry some big binos and the spotter, both for tripod use.

Not sure that's a smart way to go though.

I recently made the switch to 12x50s as my sole bino so i'm very interested to see how these shake out. I think these provide enough magnification increase over the 12s to give them a place in my setup for some long range coues/muley glassing. Looking forward to the reviews.

Yes, Would like to hear more. Planning on adding 15's back to the stable. Between meopta and swaro SLC right now. trying to hold out and save for swaro but . . . .could Maven 18's be a contender?

I was the same way. Loved the optics but could not get them to comfortably fit my face. I have Meopta 15 X 56's now, but would definitely be interested in trying the Mavens again.
