I was able to see a pair yesterday and give them a brief look outside. I couldn't tell anything about their performance, but based on spec and what I'm hearing about them, I'm really excited to get a pair of the 15's. As far as I heard, there's no definite release date yet, but it shouldn't be too much longer (I hope!).

AK prism with flourite objectives sounds really good.

How to decide between 15's or 18's...

The B5's will go with:

B3 8x32
B2 9x45
S1 20-50x80

If I carried 12's, then 18x would be the obvious choice, but with 9's, I'm thinking 15x.

The more I use them the more I can’t live without 18x:). 12x compared to 15x is minimal and I don’t see the need to give up the FOV. 12x to 18x is dramatic and worth carrying IMO.

I see Maven is bringing out an 18x56 binocular pretty soon too. Bigger than the 15x56 from the photos, different frame looks like too. I see where you are with the binocular vs spotting scope comparison. On one hand you get full use of both eyes with the binocular. On the other hand you have increased magnification in a Spotter. But you need a pretty good spotter at higher magnifications, and I am not a real fan of any spotter image when the EP falls below 2.0, nor do I like the decreasing depth of field we get with high magnification. At this point each still in many ways compliments the other.

I may have to expand efforts to get my hands on one of these, however I'm really most interested in the 10x56.

Wow, are these pure fluorite or a mixture? If they are pure fluorite for $1500 they could he a game changer.

I think the objectives are fluorite, but not all of the elements. Have to wait for full specs and details.
