Id like an american made product so leaning towards the tracts, mainly because of the locking diopter. but I see well thru the razors and love the fact I know the company will be around for years should I need them but hate to spend a 800 ish on chinese made stuff, but I do see well with them.
anyone had or have looked thru all three.

I’ve tried the razors and the mavens. I preferred the mavens. (The b1.2’s). Not sure if yer referring to the b1 or 1.2 I’ve had both and liked both but the b1 are larger. Liked the view and how they handled and felt in my hands. I sold them and bought slc’s. I love the slc’s but liked the way the mavens felt in hand better. U can find the mavens at a pretty good discount usually. Never tried the tracts.

The B1’s are USA assembled, but legally are considered “made” in Japan. I believe tract is japan, and the razor is China or Philippines depending on the configuration.

I would buy the Mavens. The Tract I’m sure are fine, but from a business standpoint it bothers me that they basically just rode maven’s “direct to consumer” coattails. Couple that with the fact that I’ve still never seen a pair “in the wild” across multiple states and seasons, I just don’t see them being around long term. Don’t wish them ill will, but I just don’t see it happening.

The razors are actually solid if you get a good pair, but there’s a huge sample variation within the line IME. If you go with razors, check every pair in person in store and buy the best pair optically they have.

In short, for my dollars, Maven B1.2, then it’s a coin flip from Tract to Vortex for me. With other optics being between maven and the others for me.

Like my b1.2s - i find them to be a step up from razors. Cant comment on tract.

Maven has been spot on with warranty stuff that i broke accidently and would have paid to fix.

thanks guys. if they had a locking diopter this wouldnt even be a question. but i have very bad eyes and feel like i need a locking diopter. maybe its so tough to turn theirs its a non issue?

I’ve never felt the non-locking diopter on the mavens was an issue. Most locking diopters feel cheap and chincy to me anyways, so I honestly prefer a super stiff non-locking diopter, which the mavens have.

ok, if i can find a deal i will prob go maven then. maybe they will have some black friday deals going on
