I’ve seen a few online videos featuring the new Mauser straight pull and so far the chatter is positive. I don’t know when they’ll hit the states. Anyone handled one? @EuroOptic are you going to be selling them?

Yes, We'll have them
I gotta call Blaser USA today to pick my reps brain about some lead times for other stuff ; I'll ask about the 25 as well.

Definitely an interesting rifle, I kind of wonder why straight pulls haven’t seemed to catch on in the USA? Seems like it would be great for still hunting/ brush where quick follow ups are necessary

Semi-automatics (and ARs) are legal lots of places. That’s tough competition. And pumps like the R760/7600 are likely faster than straight pull rifles. As possibly are lever guns, which have a historical place in the American landscape.

And the cost of entry beyond old milsurp straight pulls has been a barrier.

Glad to see they have a left hand variant… hopefully those arrive stateside at the same time!

All makes perfect sense

Yeah, cuz the Impulse was underwhelming, and it was a Savage after all

Savage and Beretta offerings, while lackluster, have seemingly improved visibility of this style rifle in the states and are contributing I think at least to some extent to increasingly economical offerings from competitors who want a piece of the market share and can produce a superior product.

Pumps and levers are pretty hot here in PA cuz we cant use semi for big game - Couple of my buddies use BRX's, I have an R8 - Straight pull is wicked fast, and deer / bear drives are hard coded in the hunting DNA here.

The new MAUSER 25

MADE FOR TRUE WINNERS.

That made me chuckle.

Looks pretty promising. A standard 20" barrel is also a good selling point. The metric muzzle threads aren't great, but there are M15X1 to 5/8-24 adapters out there. Starting with the 308 is also never a bad choice.
