Nothing earth shattering but it looks like it’s going to be a 29 inch and 33 inch offering with switchweight cams and a internal dovetail mount 5 pin sight presumably by Axcel. Will make those in the Traverse market happy, new quiver coming out too.

That 33" will probably be a 5 pounder!

I was handling a V3 31" awhile back and wishing I would have gone with the 31.5 vxr instead of the 28

What's the source? You got pics? I loved the traverse, so I would love to see a longer axle to axle with a little longer of a brace height.

I talked to a dealer the other day and he said “long and short”. I mentioned 33 and 29 and he said that is what he believes

Anyone else not a fan of the switch weight cams, though? I miss my Traverse. Still on the lookout for a new one. The concentric cam on the Traverse just felt a lot better to me than the sw.

The switch weight cam is the harshest drawing flagship cam of any of the big bow companies. To me, even the turbo cam Hoyt’s are smoother.

Check out the classifieds on AT. Think I might of seen a new Traverse.

On the cams. My bow is still in the setup phase. Not a ton of range time. Will have to get back to you on that. lol

I check there every other day or so. They still seem to get a pretty hefty premium on resale. Hopefully that adjusts as folks are willing to trade in for the anticipated 33" 2022 version of whatever new is coming out.

I agree with you. The non switchweight cams on the traverse felt so much better. I had a VXR 31.5 with 75lbs mods and a Traverse with wake limbs pulling 84lbs. I liked the Traverse better for draw cycle. The V3 31 was better than the VXR but still not the Traverse.

I’ve never shot a traverse but I’m surprised they have that much difference in feel.

I also thought the v3’s seemed smoother and easier draw than the vxr

If they can give me a draw cycle that doesn’t feel 10lbs heavier than it actually is then I might be interested.

So, they made the vxr, and people asked for longer ATAs, so they made them shorter, now they are finally making them longer, yet they're still not really long, and they're going to be basically the same bow for several years?

That's crazy talk. They won't be even remotely the same. The new one will have a much better draw cycle, it will be twice as quiet, zero hand shock, and excede advertised IBO by 12fps.

Agreed. Most guys are 27-29" draw. Most guys of that draw length can shoot a 31" ATA bow just fine. And most if looking for a longer bow for a target setup they will buy a target bow.

There is not as much reward for a manufactor to cater to 31-33" DL and 34" ata as we make up a very small percentage of the market.
