may i ask why?Foundation stocks are heavy. Their weight alone makes them a less than ideal option. Manners & McMillan both have significantly lighter options.
Personally, I much prefer the ergonomics of Manners over McMillan. I also prefer the mini chassis from manners, and McMillan does not have an equivalent. McMillan’s “pillar bedded stocks that don’t need to have the action bedded” had significantly worse accuracy than the half a dozen manners I’ve had. That McMillan very much needed to be bedded.
Not that you asked about specific models, but I think the Manners’ LRH is THE hunting stock currently on the market. If you’re ordering, I’d have them set the inlet back 1/4” - 1/2”.
