Manfrotto BeFree Carbon Fiber Tripod

Cabela's has the BeFree carbon fiber tripod on sale for $218.88 which I think is a good price. This tripod weighs 2.4 lbs, folds up to around 15 inches and is significantly lighter than my current tripod, so I picked one up.

Does anyone know what it weighs without the head?

I haven't received mine yet so I haven't weighed it but I think the ball head with quick release plate weighs around.70 lb so I think the tripod alone weighs around 1.7 lb.
