I have literally handled thousands of dead whitetail bucks, have never seen a mane like that!

Very cool.

Man that's what I was thinking. Even the dudes I know who have spent lifetimes around them say they've never seen one that pronounced. Truly one of the coolest animals I've ever taken

I shot one that had a mane in 2022. Looks awesome on a semi upright mount.

I looked into it back then, it sounds like its a rare thing. This guy says 1 in 10,000 https://hunt-indiana.com/thread/762/deer-manes

You are obviously married. A good buck like that would be hanging in the living room in a bachelor pad. My wife has poor interior decorating skills as well......

Yes I am married. This picture was actually taken right when I got him home from the taxidermist. I like to take some pictures of them in natural lighting before they go down to our living room where I have all my taxidermy.

Im trying to convince my wife to put one upstairs, but I guess that will just have to wait for when I shoulder mount an elk or a moose because it won't fit anywhere else. LOL

We’ve had a few with them. Definitely nice for identifying them year to year.
