I ended up buying a Vortex Switchback Carbon. LGS had a demo unit for $400. My first dive into a ball head tripod for shooting coyotes. The ol Bog was lack-luster and I hate the levers, specially when its super cold. This one certainly feels like it's gonna be alright. I just didn't get warm and fuzzies about a no-name brand and unknown warranty etc. I feel like get something cheap with a good warranty or just buy the RRS is the way to go.
