Maldives Resort Recommendations?

25th anniversary in 2027, looking to go to Maldives. Bora Bora was our 20th, so diff part of the world, similar vibe. Looking to fly into Dubai, stay a couple days/acclimate to the time difference, then Maldives for 7-10 nights. Any recommendations?

I would recommend Bayan Tree Vabbinfaru or Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru. Both fabulous stays. Agree with stop over in Dubai for a few days as part of trip as did the exact same on trips there.

Dubai would be my preference in your situation, especially if genuine Luxury grade shopping is of interest along the way to the Maldives, in the near region. There's a pretty good chance that the situation with the Gulf states will still be unstable next year though, whether direct from Iran or through regional proxies. Sri Lanka would be my backup as an acclimatization stop if things aren't in a better place by then. I've heard good things about the Taj Bentota there.

Do you have status with any hotel chain? Upgrades out of North America can be quite nice if so.
