Maine Hound Hunt 2023

Had a great week in Maine. My father-in-law took a 220# boar that was treed. My wife took a 362# boar bayed on the ground and I took a 361# boar bayed on the ground. Hunted with longtime friends from NC and Maine. Great houndsmen! Long Pond Camps and Guide Service in Jackman ME.

Looks like a great week, I have bear hunted the southern part of Maine.
Looking at guides in the Northern part of the state for 2024. Did you have to book with them well in advance?

really nice rustic cabins. Guides are Randy and Debbies sons that do a real good job. They have some other local guys help that are great and my good friend from NC comes up with his hounds for a couple of weeks each year to help. He has some of the best bear dogs you will find and is a blast to hunt with. I went to Long Pond for the first time 20 years ago at the age of 19. This was my 5th trip up there.
