I’m considering a small to medium fixed blade in Magnacut. Premium price on the steel, it seems. For those of you who have blades made of it, is it with the extra money? My uses will be general utility, fire starts, regular carry, and meat processing. I’m particularly interested in corrosion resistance.

I’ve had a kershaw leek in magnacut for about a year. I touch up the edge about once a month with sporadic usage. I should have cut up a deer with it this year but didn’t think about it. It was also cerakoted from the factory. 0 signs of any corrosion. I would pay the extra $30 for any of the upgraded steel models even though I really like the sandvik steel for how sharp I can make it, in a hurry. I can’t say I have seen a difference over other cpm steels I have used.
